Default Would it be smart to remove the debris deflector ... ??

Ok i dont know if you guys know what im talking about but since i got a body kit put on the plastic peice that sits underneath your car directly underneath the engine. Its plastic to prevent water and such to get in your engine i guess. Now my question is it really doesnt fit my my new front bumper. I have an injen intake as well. Can i just take this off ?? would it damage my ride ?? and would it be safe to have my intake free from air like that ??

yeah... pulled mine off of my new yorker (that thing was POS but hey it was a hell of a beater car lol) and in the winter snow would get into my engine bay and actually freeze and form ice and actually chipped my power steering pump pulley til it actually snapped... not a good idea to take it off... especially with all the prettyness you got goin on below yoru good with your lights n what not... leave it there..

find a way to attach it to the new bumper or to the frame of the car. I ran into the same problem whe I did my kit. but it's all there screwed and zip tied to the car.
