Default XB stolen for RIMS!

So my neighbor just bought a used 05 xb everything was stock, however he bought new rims from the dealership and also got the scion security.

So in the next week between 2-5 am someone had broke into his xb without setting off the security and stole it. Am thinking it was an inside job maybe from the dealership or the past owner. Because it wasn't even a week when it was stolen.

my question is when the cops found the xb which was 25 miles away it was in perfect condition. But, the rims and tires were stolen, the engine bay was fine and body kit still in place. Is this usual for people to just still the rims and tires and nothing else?

I seen many cars stolen where they striped everything and i mean everything. But, the rims and tires were only stolen which i found really weird.

so whats your input?

thanks for reading

Stolen just the rims.. and tires.. that is very strange.. So this is aftermarket rims and tires.. i don't think the dealer would do such thing.. However u did spell "steal" wrong as still... just to let u know..

usually people who are after rims n tires, do it at the spot.

Yeah, that is way too much trouble to go through just for rims. It is in most cases easier to do it at the spot, I've seen a 2 man team do it once around my friends apartment. Impact gun makes a lot of noise, but if you are fast you can do it easily in a few minutes...if that.

I just find that suprising that someone stolen it and left everything else in tact, even if they didn't need parts, they could take them and just as easily ebay them for small amounts.

Sucks to hear though.

I didn't know we were in spelling class. But just to let you know, you shouldn't point fingers since your sentance pretty much makes no sense at all. "Stolen just the rims." "I don't think the dealer would do such thing." "u did spell "steal" wrong as still" What?
