Default Yakima rack install

Got my rack in the mail, super stoked but as I am installing it the front bar's clips seem like they aren't fully seated on my car. Do I want to try to seat them so they are flush by the sunroof glass or lower them down so they are more flush towards my door glass.

Glad I didn't see that I needed the doors open when I installed, pulled both my door gaskets off. fail.

looks like i got it figured out. Whoring time.

Actual Rack+Fairing=$275 shipped
Basket+2 bike attachments+another rack that doesn't fit my car+ yakima basket bag+yakima bungie+tons of extra cores and other good stuff to resale=$150
I think I made out pretty good. The 2 bike racks are pretty beat up and was thinking of stripping the paint off and repainting them but they're just going to get torn up again. The basket and accessories for it are brand new. I think I made out pretty good.

looks like you go your front racks much more closer to the windshield than mine. i followed the recommended distance from the instructions 4" away from the edge of the windshield to the Q tower foot

What size crossbars did you go with...I built a bundle online and it came up with I think 58" bars, which I know is way too wide.

Those are 48" inch crossbars I have on there. I have another pair of crossbars which I think are around 58 I can take a pic, there is just too much overhang.
