I tried to install a 05 K&N CAI in my 07 tc but i realized that the air flow meter doesnt fit! What can I do?

Can I just buy an 05 air flow meter so it can fit on my car and the CAI? Is it that simple?

Plain and simple, you bought the wrong intake.

If you're lucky you might find an adapter out there - but you're better off (IMO) just getting the proper intake.

Wow this looks legit! This will absoutely work right? It's much cheaper than an 05 air flow meter. You think this ebay one is worth it? if so, im buying it right now!

ack, the intake belongs to my uncle and he has nothing to do with it. I feel like i mind as well take it! haha What's your opinion on this CAI adapter? Pros and cons for using an adapter like the one on ebay to make the 05 intake fit my 07?

It's just the air flow meter that is different between 05 and 07 tc right? Everything else, like the intake set up, is the same right?

I cant find that adapter anywhere else besides that ebay seller..it makes me wonder if people actually use it. But according to his seller history, people DO buy that adapter. hmm...

if the intake is any bigger than 2.5" it will cause a cel because the MAF sensor will not be able to read the air right.

 

i have a friend in the OC area who is selling his maf adapter, pm if your interested so i can give you more info.

 

I did this on my ride. I used a rubber o-ring that i got at lowes. It fit nice and snug but I always had a CEL with that intake. I didnt like that. So i got my Injen back from my buddy and re-installed that until i just sold it to help fund my turbo build.

 

fyi, trying to use an '05-'06 MAF will NOT work.

 

He is thinking of getting an MAF adapter.

 

sell the intake and buy the proper one

 

yeah you cant get an 05 maf sensor and hook it up in an 07, ____ will go all crazy-like. maf adapter plate is the best way
