Default 06 Scion tC RS Engine problems..Help..

I have a 06 Scion tC RS (2126) automatic and I recently just got into a crash. I was hit directly on the left side tire and now it has a bent suspension and a engine that runs badly. I had no problems before the crash other than the old suspension and it wanting to act like a manual on hills. I took it to two mechanics, the first one asked for 250 for the initial inspection and the second one said he couldn't do anything because there is no check engine light and didn't want to take it apart to find out what's wrong with it. The engine likes to idle at 1000 (cold start) and then it likes slowly go down to the 500-300ish range for around 30 mins and then it stalls completely (letting it run by itself). Also the car now feels like a old rally car with solid engine mounts at red lights or whenever you go under 10mph. I'm planning to buy BC Racing coilovers and new suspension parts for the Scion. I looked over it but I didn't see any cracks or leaks I also went onto multiple tC forums and didn't find any answers.

Anyone's input would be appreciated and if I can fix this before late Spring would be great because I am off to the Military for the Summer.

Before: idles at 2000 (cold start) and goes down to 1500-1000 range/rough idle (all scions do this)/no check engine light/ acts like a manual on hills/ old suspension

After: idles at 1000 (cold start) then goes down to 500-300ish range/very rough idle (feels like a rally car with solid mounts on)/no check engine light/ bent suspension/ does not like going over bumps at all/ likes to veer to the right.

How much damage was done to the left side tire area, and what parts of the suspension were bent? Pictures could help if possible.

From the symptoms you're saying the car is having, it seems like it could be a faulty EGR valve actuator, Dirty/Bad MAF sensor, Fouled spark plugs, Issue with the fuel system, bad ECT sensor, or possibly the transmission could have been damaged from the left side-impact (but I can't say because I don't know how severe your accident was or what the damage looks like). These are all just possibilities, just going off the information I have.

It may seem dumb, but it is always good just to check the basic this like the oil, air filter, spark plugs, and battery. I don't know how your car has been maintained at that is why I said this, so these things may be perfectly fine.

I don't know if this will do anything, but you could try resetting the ECU idle
#1 Unplug the battery for 10 minutes
#2 Reconnect the battery and let the car idle for 10 minutes
#3 Turn the car off then restart the car and drive for about 10 or so miles
Also, rest the windows, sunroof, clock, trunk switch (I Think), and stereo setting (If stock Stereo)
Hold window switch up for 3 seconds, then release (switch light should stop flashing) {both window switches}
Hold sunroof switch down (Closing sunroof position) for 3 seconds, then release
Press the unlock button, then go outside and press the trunk release button

Thanks for your reply. The crash wasn't that bad he hit me at around 20 mph so it bent my lower/upper control arm and the shocks, they aren't that bent but bent enough for them to be replaced and get a alignment. I don't think its my maf because the sensor is fairly new. The oil, coolant, fluids, and spark are all good. I'm gonna try and see if the ect sensor, egr valve, throttle gate are good tonight. My main concern is the transmission because its a fwd, but I didn't see ant cracks or leaks so it could be a internal issue with the gears. The car also has power loss and does not like to rev or boost at all. It used to gain a lot of speed when you revved it to 3000 rpm and now It doesn't want to go at all instead it slowly gains speed and has a hard time reaching 60mph even when you are on a down hill. I only have pics of the initial crash but it wont let me upload them. Ill try and get some more tonight and try uploading them.

If it was just the tire area, I would drain the transmission fluid and inspect it for possible internal damage. Does it look like the driver's side axle is damaged at all? It could be a possibility that the accident damaged the transmission.

I looked over the intake system last night and its all good. I also found out that if turn the wheel left or right it drops in rpm not much but it is noticeable. It also makes a hissing noise if you turn the wheel all the way left or right and its the same with my gas pedal it makes a hissing noise when you step on it (was there before but its louder now). It might be a problem with my fuel system or something internally idk yet. I'm gonna try and take apart the transmission this weekend if can get some help. The axle doesn't have noticeable damage but the right side tire has a little bit of positive camber and the left side has a bit of negative camber.

The hissing noise and small rpm drop are normal when turning the wheel, as it is the power steering pump.

Hearing a hissing noise when pressing the pedal could be a sign of a vacuum leak (normally it is the throttle body opening and taking in the air, but if it is louder it could be a vacuum leak). The impact could have potentially caused internal damage to the transmission, or the cv-axle could have been shoved.

How is the car shifting? Is it smooth or jerky?

Shifting is still the same (smooth). I'm trying too find the hissing noise but don't know where it is coming from but I know its somewhere in the engine bay. I don't think its a bad cv axle because I don't hear metal screeching when I turn or see any leaks/fluid on the boot.

JakeAut0 mentioned a vacuum leak. Have you checked the rubber hoses clamped to the throttle body? Look for cracks and or splits in the rubber. Sometimes you can cut off the damage and reconnect the existing hose. Otherwise it/they might need replacement.
