07 Supercharge, CAI, Cost and Where?
So its time to leap - I am very interested in getting my 07 auto TC S/Ced. So I have a few questions I'd like to pose to my fellow tC enthusiasts:
1. How much does a S/C kit run for these days? I've seen pricing anywhere between 3k-3.5k
2. What kind of CAI can I get for he tC once it is S/Ced?
3. If I got struts/shock trd kit, how much do those run for?
4. Where can I get these purchased and installed (TRD certified mechanics -I am in the bay area of California)
5. As far as payments go, does toyota only accept full payments or can they do monthly's?

Re: 07 Supercharge, CAI, Cost and Where?
1. $3k-3.5ish
2. I'm pretty sure your s.o.l. for a s/c cai for an '07.
3. $599 through trdsparks.com, more through a dealer.
4. Any toyota dealer should be able to sell and install any toyota or trd part, however some dealers don't install parts not purchased through them for warranty reasons.
5. Most dealers will finance anything for you, however I personally don't think it's worth it, because it will ultimately cost you more in the long run.

Thanks for the feedback, mbaledge.
When you say reflash, do you mean the ECU reprogramming?
Also, I've read about some instances that the supercharger is detrimental to the engine, since the engine is a camry engine and not originally designed to be supercharged (the compression ratio, the rods, etc). Then again, I don't think most stock 4 cylinder cars are meant to be supercharged. It just means you need to be more viglant on preventive maintenance. "With great power comes great responsibility."
Which leads me to my next question:
What mitigating steps can be taken to avoid engine damage and maintain s/c efficiency, and how much would it cost (i.e. changing rods, pulleys, etc.)
I read about the guy whose s/c blew out his engine because his oil level was low (his tc only had 29xxx miles on it when it decided to conk out on him) do superchargers generally consume oil at a faster rate because of the increase in power?
And another question about s/c maintenance (sorry guys - I am hungry for knowledge ) Are there better spark plugs to be used with an s/c system, as well as oil and oil filters, and how often do you change oil on a s/c tc? It would be great if these questions could be answered from an AT perspective
Thanks again you guys, you are awesome!
