I'm a new member of scionlife and soon to be an '08 tc owner

I'm planning on getting a tc and do it up as a nice daily show car

the reason i wanna get a tc is it's a very nice car, cheap, and there is alot to do to it, but that doesn't seem to be the case w/ the '08 performance mods

i've been searching the forums and could't find what i want for the '08 tc

i want a good turbo kit, pulleys, injectors, intake, and brakes as well

what i've read is i can not use the 05-06 parts for the 07-08 tc

i want to know please, what is available for the car, and who would you recommend me to visit for performance mods (coming to Houston after 3 days)

First of all a search can answer all of these questions. The differences are 05-06 and 07-08. They are relatively small differences too. You can use almost all the same parts for any year tC from 05-08 EXCEPT an intake and turbo. A cold air intake would need to be 07-08, same as the turbo so pay attention to that. As far as pulley's, anything to do with the exhaust, injectors, brakes, internals, that is all the same still. So you dont need to worry about looking for 08 specific parts cuz you wont find any.

Now that you know bout that go back and search and you will find the answers you want alot easier.

dont need a turbo kit to be at shows, it's a fairly large investment.....

 

I know this is a minute difference, but we should be saying turbo/supercharger, since there is a TRD supercharger, and the 05-06 is a different kit than the 07-08. Really, the big difference between the cars is the MAF flange. The 05-06 is a larger MAF, so nothing involving the intake is compatible between 05-06 and 07-08 (other than drop in filters).
