11 Compression Pistons
Alright, this is very clear. Ill start looking for better low compression and I hope I can find some but the only piston that I found is from ZPI turbo piston. My friend suggest me to get 8.5:1 and I don't know about this yet. I got plenty of time to decide until the summer. Thanks guys
So it looks like I need to start working my butt off to get ready for next summers mods.
ZPI stage 1 head
Greddy emanage
ZPI 11:1 pistons
zex wet 50 shot
93 octane all the time
=250ish whp n/a on spray
couple of questions though...
Would running an emanage ultimate vs the regular emanage be advantageous in this application?
Would an increased redline that the ultimate can give be useful?
Would increasing the redline be safe with the stage 1 head + pistons or should I add in rods while i'm at it?
with a stage or two colder set of plugs installed, and a decent tune, should I still worry about detonation when spraying a 50 shot on top of the 11:1 pistons?
anything else i should get?

i would run ultimate, since you have more options with it
if your doing all that other work, might as well toss rods in
if your planning on staying n/a, ask ZPI to mill the head out a little bit for you
it will help

care to explain what milling does? I vaguely remember something about making the bottom of the head flat so it sits against the block better or something like that.
head studs= necessary?
clutch= how long will the stock one last with that power running through it?

def should upgrade clutch, if you haven't already
head studs are a must with that power
milling is going to bump up your compression a little bit, but i only rec. that if you def. plan on staying all motor for sure

the list just keeps getting bigger and bigger eh? I better have a hell of a winter season at the restaurant, get a good tax return, and beg college for extra money that I won't actually spend at the college!
ZPI Stage 1 Head- $550
ZPI 11:1 Compression Pistons- $595
ZPI Forged Rods- $800
ARP Head Studs- $145
Greddy Emanage Ultimate- $595
Greddy Emanage Ultimate Complete Harness- $95
Greddy PnP Harness for Scion tC- $295
Clutchmasters Stage 3- $492
Clutchmasters Lightweight Flywheel- $435
Zex wet shot kit~ $1,000
Tuning- $lots
I'm afraid to add it up
will the stock fuel system support that kind of power, or will larger injectors and a higher capacity fuel pump be needed also?

fuel pump is your choice, but injectors will be good idea
as for flywheel, i have the clutchmasters in now, dont like it
im putting in fidanza shortly

was actually pretty heavy, which i was suprised of
my tech who helped me put it in, said his buddy has tC and he just put
same clutch i have w/fidanza flywheel and its nice
to me its not what it should be, but anything is better than stock

Now that i've been thinking about this for a little bit today, i've got a question regarding pistons. What would be an overall better setup for n/a using nitrous- 11:1 pistons and running a relatively small shot (50) or a set of turbo pistons 8.8:1 from dezod or 8.5:1 from zpi and then running and then throwing a 100-125 shot at the engine?
This is using the setup i posted above with the addition of a fidanza flywheel instead of the CM piece, and then switch out to 550cc RC engineering injectors.
now that i think of it, what would be better, 550cc injectors and calling it a day, or using something like the supercharger injectors, running a return line back to the fuel tank, and then have a rising rate fuel pressure regular setup (and have the pressure rise as the nitrous is injected and the RPM's rise).

For a better redline and useful one at that, I think it must be the Stage II Head, not the Stage 1. If you are using the Stage 1, I would use the normal e-manage IMO. The Stage II is the one prepared to take the force of a better redline all the way up ro 7,500 or 7,200 RPM.
I also don't think you have to use for now the Forge Rods. I think $800 dollars is a little bit much. I think the stock ones will take abuse all the way up to 275whp. I THINK!
