1MZ-FE Engine swap?
OK, so for the AW11 the 1MZ-FE (Camry V6) is a bolt on swap.
There are two advantages. One its actually lighter than the iron block I-4 (4ag) and it has more power N/A.
Now I know I have been flamed for trying to build an NA 2.4 liter but now swapping in a V6 could be possible. They do not weigh much at all surprisingly...around 240 pounds for the block.
I will look up the codes for the transmission soon, but before I do countless hours of research, I want to know if this is even a good idea.
I would obviously want NA (ITB's, headers, exhaust, internals, tune, etc..)
People on here think a 210hp NA car is pointless...so how about a 290hp car? (this is being pessimistic lol) 290 NA hp. Technically should be on par with a 320hp turbo setup.
Just a thought,
Regis

I don't know if it was the same motor but a couple years ago someone was attempting a V6 swap into a tC that just never seemed to go anywhere. I think the guy ended up giving up on the project or something.
So far the tC hasn't proven to be a swap friendly platform..there is just way to much money and fab work involved. Unless you have bottomless pockets at your disposal and a huge backing it's not something that will even get off the ground.
My .02

Ok I will search more. Its prolly deep in the search pages. It never gives you the right results lol.
I was just wondering...looking for my possibilities thats all.
I did not buy my xa, it was a gift. I love it, I just want to know what is possible with the TC thats all. Their cool cars.

yeah its pretty damn old u might jus have to look threw pages and pages to find it. ohh ok i like the xa not knockin u on it, i jus see u like the tC and all i jus thougth u bought the wrong car
lol
Haha some days I think why didn't they just get me the tC? By I am grateful to have the xA as I hated my 1995 Ford Escort LOL. That thing was wrong in every way.
I like the tC's because everyone seems to mod e'm so they are all different in their own way. Good chassis, look different and sound different than Honda's.
Something new to look at in the "ricer" world LOL.
