2005 can't go into gear.
Hay fellas !!!
I just picked up a nice 2005 tC with a manual transmission. I got the car for a great price even though it needed a clutch.
I recently got a replacement clutch and installed it myself, and now the car will not go into any gear unless the engine is turned off.
I bought the clutch kit off of eBay I got a new pressure plate, clutch disc, flywheel and throw out bearing.
Is it possible that the disc is installed backwards?
I put the beefier side of the disc facing the pressure plate.
I try to search numerous times 4 pictures of how to install the disc but I just can't find any.
Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated I can't wait to get this car on the road!!!

I also replaced the slave cylinder the 2nd time i took the transmission out just to verify everything was properly installed, and everything was. That's when I noticed the slave was bad. So I installed a new slave cylinder, the old one had fluid inside the rubber boot. I was planning on removing the tranny for a third time and replacing the new pressure plate thinking it was defective but I might just go ahead and replace the master cylinder and see if that fixed the problem as opposed to removing the transmission for a third time.
