Default 2006 T/C No start..need help

ok starting off this car is not mine it is a buddies that i am working on to save him a little money it is a 2006 t/c with a 2.4L. The story is about a year ago the head gasket blew on it and they took it to a shop to have fixed, the shop fixed it and put it all back together but said that they could'nt get it started. so my first thought was the timing i havent torn it all the way down yet but I put it at TDC and the intake cam was on and it looked like the exhaust cam was on as well but after some reading is there more than one marker on the exhaust cam to align? I also did a compression test and got 125lbs across the board on all 4 cylinders. the car has spark and is getting fuel. They were also told that it could possibly be the key...Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

Not starting is too vague. Are you getting anything? Completely dead? A chug chug chug? Or what's up?

found out it was the timing the exhaust cam was about 180 degrees off trying to get the chain on now just a quick question when does the tension go on the the chain? because when i set exhaust cam on the timing marker the cam moves back and it doesnt keep the markers aligned.
