In my honest opinion Full Standalone is the way to go. Toyota ECUs like to kick back Advance Timing no matter what a piggyback tells it to do... One bad batch of fuel and you'll lose timing and risk damage.
I just repeated myself... whoops.

Curious if you are running the 440cc injectors with the supercharger, or if you will get bigger ones? I think if you up the injectors and up the boost, then standalone. If not, piggyback may still do you justice. It all depends on what you want to get out of it. If you upgrade internals (pistons, cams, etc.), then standalone all the way.

Well I haven't installed the TRD s/c yet, but yes I was gonna use the 440cc injectors. I'm not planning on messing with the pistons or cams at all, but I am planning on getting a Port-n-Polish on the head to get a little bit better flow, which should work nicely with the Descendant Intake Manifold. I'm still on the fence about whether to go Piggyback or Standalone...if I can find a piggyback that will work properly and not get eventually overridden by the ECU, I would lean towards that option.
Honestly though, the more reading I do, the more confident I am that I'll be able to hit 250whp pretty easily.....I was on NST's website today, and they have a TC build page. They started with a bone stock 2006 TC, put a TRD s/c on it with their 9.5 pulley, and the only other mods they had on the car were headers and a downpipe, and they hit 230whp pretty easily, and that was without a tune. Here is that page if you are interested:

So yeah with a port-n-polish, MMW supercharger intake, Descendant Intake Manifold, NST alt,wp,crank, and 9.5 s/c pulleys, Okada Plasma Coils, DC Header, Nvidia S-pipe, and a solid tune on a piggyback or standalone, I might be able to get closer to 300hp.
What do you think?

With all the work you got into it, might as well go Standalone and draw out all the power you possibly can. Get a good tune and you'll be beast. Might also consider a midpipe to complete the exhaust system and free up that last little bit of hp.

As far as the exhaust goes, Ive got the DC Ceramic header, Nvidia S-pipe, and TRD Axleback.....and right now for my N/A set-up it sounds absolutely perfect, very quiet at low rpm, no drone, and at wide open it has a nice throaty roar (even tho the car is slow lol.) I'm worried if I slap a mid-pipe on there, even with the supercharger, it might sound like shizz. What brand of mid-pipe would you recommend? The only ones I know of are the Tsudo and the Megan, and the reviews on both of them are mediocre at best. Do you know of a better one?
Honestly IMO a standalone is a waste of money unless you want some serious HP numbers. You should be fine at 250WHP with a piggy-back computer. Im running an e-manage ultimate and Ive never had a problem with it. Take it to a reputable place, you get what you pay for.

K thanks for the input! Obviously I would rather spend less if I can get it to hold a tune.....once Ive got everything dialed in, I won't need to constantly modify the a/f ratio or anything like that, I just want get a tune and leave it alone. If the Greddy Emanage can handle that and not get eventually overridden by the ecu I would be happy with that.
