Default 3" S-Pipe-Stock Midpipe to 2.5" axelback..?

I have a 3inch s pipe that goes into my stock pipe then that goes to my 2.5 inch axel back exhaust. I will be running 6-8psi on my a/t. I talked to a muffler shop and they told me not to replace my midpipe since its not that much boost... Fact?

You dont really need the 3" spipe in the first place with the setup you plan on running, however I dont see why this wouldnt work. Technically it should work fine, if you go for more power down the road, simply go to a 3" sback.
