Okay, Ive come to learn a lot about cars now but my tc just past the 45k mile mark, I also have new tires, and my clutch is starting to get a little harder to maneuver but I was wondering if there is like a break in time for the engine because my car has been accelerating a lot more quickly than before. I know that better wheels will have an effect but Id like to here other opinions, I dont think Im driving it any differently, unless subconsciously I am due to rythmsmoke telling me, and after research seeing that lightly modded tc's can achieve very low 15's

it depends on who you ask, but normally, most ppl will say 500 miles.

 

its your new tires....... tires do make a HUGE difference in overall performance. you can compare headers and other N/A mods, but tires make the biggest difference compare to those..

 

Thanks, tires it must be, I didnt think they would be it but I guess the better grip the more tracton, the more hp can have an effect when the wheels spin, its completely new to me that wheels make that much of a difference, next time I wont let them get to 40k miles b4 chenging them lol!

 

Traditional 4-stroke engines don't gain power over time, they lose it. Rotarys on the other hand, get faster with age.

 

wow i didnt know rotarys did that. cool learn something new every day. I want a rotary now. LOL

Well, they do to an extent, lol.

 

i think with rotary's they gain hp over time becouse the rotary surfaces wear down and become better sealing at the combustion chamber aka "thos divets"........lol
I think thats right..........some one tell me if im full of crap or not.

 

well, actually, alot of times in the car and driver long term test vehicles, they actualy show a slight increase in acceleration statistics between when they were new and when they are at 40k.

i got a 95 rx7 . im not to sure that it has gained power . the reason for the gain is because no 7 owner is happy with the power they get they always want more =)
