^Nah I found out what it is. [url]www.arb.ca.gov[url/] has a list of Aftermarket products that have EO#'s (Executive Order) which means that they are approved with limitations for emissions in the state of california. I posted a thread with all the information about this. Unfortunately there are no CAI systems that warrant you to NOT get a ticket in california. Even TRD. It was mentioned in the thread I posted that because they say *for off road use only* they can sell it, even from the dealership. Technically cops can sit outside the dealership and pull you over the minute you drive off the lot in your brand new tC with a TRD intake and exhaust...

^^you are? You didn't get the BS ticket from the local po po. And the crappy thing is, i work with cops all day...i work at the prison section of a psychiatric hospital and everything's always cool. I've gotten out of a lot of tickets be4 from the sheriffs becuase i have a special license plate that comes up as confidential...due to working in a prison. But every once in a while, there's gonna be that one jerk no matter where he works or what he does
These people need to auto school or something.. Why is an intake such a problem, little do they no it helps the atmosphere by reducing emisions by leaning out the fuel mix. Maybe not alot but enough to help..
found this for all you cali peeps, if it wasnt for all the modding crap they dont like id move to cali...

Thanks for the links, they're all bookmarked now.
I think i'm better off getting a Huffy Bicycle and modding it... lol.
All these laws do is make Cali folks a bunch of Ninjas. We gotta be super sneaky with our cars...

here in queens if you look at them wrong theyll pull you over. LOL thankfully ima become a cop soon and i kno plenty of them. In NYC you get something called a PBA card if you kno a cop. Its a get out jail card. When they pull you over you hand it to them they let you go. You dont kno how many times ive gotten pulled over. I have 15 percent tints and i have my dvd player on all times. When they come to the car i usually leave the dvd on and they let me go. Its great they swear they got me for at least two tickets but then i hand them the cards....al they say is have a nice day.
^ha
dont be so cocky ur luck will run out..PBA cards mean sh*it nowadys unless a member of ur immediate family(family card/mini-badge) is a officer...so dont be too cocky

Haha, i've got one of those cards too... works nationwide, its called my military ID. Havent had to use it yet and who knows if it'll work for me or not but i mean.. been to 2 wars, can i at least get out of 2 tickets please?
I'll even choose the tickets i want out of before i even get them! The DUI, and the other DUI...
I kid!
DUI = threat to tC's everywhere! I could never put them in jeopardy.

^ yea, they could at least give us a break here and there... You know youre supposed to present your insurance, registration, license, and military ID. Like, I think your required to notify them youre in the military

Man everyone sayin they "hate cali" and "this is why i would never live in cali". I wish other out of staters felt this way. Housing would be soooo much cheaper, not oklahoma cheaper, but still cheaper. HAHA!!!! I love Cali, this (CARB) is just one of downsides to living there.
