Please go to http://alphawerks.com/dyno/scion_tC_dyno.htm for ALL SOUND CLIPS...

In the clips you will see that the sound is not ricey...it actually give the car a deeper tone...

Best regards,

The Alphawerks header is legal in every state that does not have CARB testing.

The only CARB state is California.

But, no header can pass CARB and it never will because you have to change the cat on the header which means that it will not pass no matter what.

But the header will pass SMOG without CARB in every other state no problem.

haha i am so sorry, CARB is only California residents, CARB stands for California Air Resources Board.

Smog is formed due to improperly burned fuels. In cases where to much fuel is presented to the engine cambers high levels of Carbon Monoxides (CO) are emitted through the engine tail pipe. In cases where low fuel levels are presented, once again the fuel burns improperly and now the engine produces low levels of CO, but begins to emit high levels of Nitrous Oxides (NOx). The engine may also miss-fire due to inadequate fuel, creating excessive Hydrocarbons (HC).

The optimum performance level is achieved when the engine can maintain a 14.7:1 air/fuel ratio during the combustion process with a constant variation +/- 5% to assist the catalytic converter operation. The "Basic" smog test requires vehicles to be tested, only at idle and 2500 rpms. "Basic" smog test vehicles do not need to be driven on a dynomometer.

To this point the Smart Sim's have only been sold with the headers. Our fear is having all the R+D we put into the header go to waste by having someone just copy the design on the Smart Sim. By only offering them to this point with the headers we at least provide an obstacle to someone from just putting down a couple of bucks and copy the design for the Smart Sim. I assume that at somepoint we will offer it seperately. When that happens scionlife.com members will be the first to know. I wish I could just give it to you guys because that is not a part that we make money on but there are too many companies out there that just copy product and do not do their own legwork to get the job done. Again I wish it were otherwise.

Best regards,

Victor D.
