Default alphawerks mounting bracket

i installed my alphawerks headers yesterday, man i am pretty disappointed the headers dont fit to the s pipe perfect(but i hear no exhaust leak) and the mounting brackets they talk about so much dont even line up. they are off by around 2-3 mm on one side and the other side the angles are alil bit off and 2 mm off, so im am about to drill a bigger hole one the stock brackets and try to get this thing to work.

on top of that it is so hard to get a response from them bout their o2 sim, i pm nexus and they said email some guy i emailed him a week ago and no answer yet so i just went out and got a the antifoulers, 60 miles and no cel yet.

on the side note i do feel a nice boost in power and pick up is alot faster but.............. my trd exhuast sounded like poop now, but it is getting better as i drive it more.

have you put on your headers yet? i am wondering if anyone else is having problems trying to get the stock mounts on. the alpha werks dont even have threads on then i had to get 2 more 12 mm nuts and screw them together.

This is what disappointed me about the header. I wish that the mounting holes were threaded to accept the studs from the OEM manifold. I had to hit Home Depot for some bolts. Other than this, I love the header. It's a little loud with the Injen exaust but bearable. 1000 miles and no CEL with anti-foulers.

S-pipe please?!?!

Hey guys...

On the mounting brackets please call us if you have any questions on the install. I have heard of some questions on the bracket but that is all solved with a phone call to us 90% of the time. We are here to help you out. As for the the Processors for the O2 it was just a matter of making them which took a bit. I have been in Cali. negotiating our new warehouse lease so I have been out of touch and my apologies. But if you have any questions at all just please call us at 877-866-3987 and yes dial 2 for the main sales office for any questions. If the Processors took a while sorry but they are made in house and we take time and try to be as particular as possible.

Best regards,

Victor

PS...on the sound of the header...it is not loud the problem is with the injen exhaust that does not have the the preferred resonator in my opinion to simulate the best sound amplification...but that is just because I am picky like that...if you want to hear the header with our cat-back exhaust just go to this link...

Yeah, they fit ok but it was a royal _____ to get wrenches in there. If the holes were off then it wasn't off by much. The header should have enough give in it to adjust a bit to line up the mounting holes to the brackets.

This is what happens sometimes because it is tight in there if you do not put the car on a lift, but it does fit snug and tight...again if there are any questions you would like from our personal experience (because each car can be a slight bit different by mm here or there) just give us a call and we can walk you through the thing.

Best regards,

Victor

Hi guys this is Carlos. I am one of the techs.

What you have to do with the bracket is that you can not tighten all the bolts. You have to leave them lose and then start to tighten them one by one. Ex screw all the bolts but leave them lose, on the header and on the bracket. If you try to tighten the header and then the bracket, thats where you run in to the problem. If you need pictures to see what i am talking about please e-mail info@nexusindustry.com

Carlos
Thank you

Got the tracking number for the sim today, sounds like a case of miscommunication I assumed it would be shipped the last time we spoke but since they make these things in house (at cost) it took a little while longer. Cant wait to install it! Thanks Nexus.

Checked out the link, sounds very nice, deep tone closer to the trd (i like that, would take great sound over volume any day). But when checking your website I didnt see the exhaust on there. Would like to see the kit, couldnt get a good look from the link or video.
And i cant remember if it was you or another developer (forgive my memory) but do you have a s-pipe in dev.

Thanks

I've heard that a header with trd exhaust combo sounds raspy..and btw did you get the brackets to line up? Just installed mine today and I see what you're talking about..I've tried loosening all the bolts and tightening individually as stated above but the angle is weird on one side and off by a few mm on the other..going to have to manufacture something to make it work..
