want a dry filter for my Scion tc and when the intake system is legal over here....

i'll get some piping and make it into a full CAI.

for now i just want to get the filter. and was wondering what size i should get? or will fit.

first you need the CAI or short ram. you cant just bolt that filter up to your stock air-box..
the size all depends on the piping diameter of your intake.

 

nvm i was planning to do a short ram with it but it seems that is illegal too...

 

yeah i was just wondering what the max size filter i can physically put in...
i'll just go with the standard size like the injen one.s

 

Where do you live? K&N has an intake that they say gains like 8 whp in their dyno test - don't know about the validity of this claim - but the main thing is their intake is 50 state legal including CARB which is by far the strictest regulation in the US.

 

it seems that the EaAU3050 is 6" X 5" while the standard injen filter is 5" x 5" which is close enough. but would something like EaAU3090 which is 6" X 9" fit also?
bigger filter = more air/less resistance?

 

What are you putting it on?

 

probably a K&N short ram or CAI...
