Default Another Grounding kit topic... /different story ( PLS HELP!)

i knoooow i know.. its just for looks and etc.. i DONT want to gain any hp from this..

my story goes back to when i bought my tc.. it had a grounding kit.. but because it was installed wrong my car didnt started.. only if someone moved around the negative terminal so the power came back so i could start the car... but i had it uninstalled by toyota ( they kept my apexi grounding kit.. whatever.....)

so .. now.. my idle isnt good.. even with headlights off.. radio off and a/c off.. my car shaking a lil bit sometimes.. of course i can see the needle goes up and down ( im talking about the rpm)

my stereo has some noise... only when i play dvd... and the noise connected to the way how i accelerate with the car...

what i mean is:
i can hear that noise louder by im pressing the gaspedal harder /getting faster = more noise from the speakers... plus when the bass hit the dvd screen has some horizontal lines.. like its vibrating or something..

so i got another grounding kit.. i want to install it myself.. and all my question:

grounding points ???

left body, right body , coil pack and head
but where are these points in my car?? ( i seen a DIY but that was an Xa)

what else could e ground? i got hids.... cai..
how could i get better grounding for my headunit?

should i connect the alternator with the positive terminal ( big 3???)

pls help.. i dont want to pay hundreds for someone at the toyota to check up everything in my car because of the bad groundings or whatever.. if i have to.. i might do it..but this $30 grounding kit cant hurt.. right?.. so pls help me out here.. and answer my questions! THX!

now the sound coming out of your speakers is it a whine? i said nothing about a 1/8 jack adapter, i said a ground loop isolators jsut my .02 on your issue, do you have an amp wired in your car, do you have the rca's running next to your power wire going to the amp? that could be another issue

http://www.epanorama.net/documents/g...m_solving.html

http://www.epanorama.net/documents/groundloop/

and last i saw ground loop isolators didnt have 1/8 jack adapters(are rca 1/8th idk)

i checked that isolator on google.. that thing has 1/8 jack in/out

or that must be something else?
i have no amp.. would that help if i ground the outside of the Hu to the body???

what else should i ground besides the left/right body, coil and head?

transmission? anything else?

All rightm an, jsut shill out for a second...this is probably not a big issue, aside from being annoying.

Possible solutions for low/changing idlemine has done this occasionally)
Bad gas
Dirty injectors
Dirty/Fouled plugs(depending on mileage)

try getting gas from a different place
try throwing some injector cleaner in
pull a plug and look at it for a ton of carbon etc.

Possible Solutions for speaker noise, etc:
Step up list your modifications to the system(if any)

If none:
You can make a grounding kit for about $30, tops. It may or may not help their is a very big debate on this, but that is for a different time/place. How to hook it up
Wire 1:left fender area(i cant get pics right now, but i can look at mine and explain) to Alternator(not the positive wire, just a bolt used to hold the alternator on)
Wire 2: Alternator to Coil pack(mine goes up under the valve cover)
Wire 3: Coil pack to Negative Battery terminal
Wire 4: Bat to Right Fender

Theoretically this should equalize all these points(electrically)

The odds of this fixing your problem....low, but it is one of the cheapest solutions

if modified radio:
Check ALL connections, and repair any that are questionable. If you have cut wire behind HU for connections, solder them if at all possible.

If you have anything that amplifies signal, check its ground twice!!

consider trying a ground loop isolater(i do not know much about these, so you might need to research)

Good luck either way
