Ok this is gonna take a little explaining so nobody claims that i'm inexperienced. For some strange reason, twice now, when driving in 1st gear and revving to a higher RPM (usually around 5500), when i shift into second it will grind. Now, i'm not doing any shifting tricks (speed shifting, double clutching) both times i actually would take a nice slow, easy shift with the clutch pedal fully depressed, and it will still grind. This is mind bottling (quote from Blades of Glory). I have no clue what is going on. The only drivetrain mod i have is a TWM stage 2 STS. I have never grinded a gear in my life up until this point and i have driven manual since before i had a license...around 15 years old (12 years now). I am not making any improper movements during the shifting and am completing a normal shift at a higher RPM with the clutch pedal completely depressed. Anybody have any clue what this could be...again, it's not driver error because i know what i'm doing and again i've been driving manual a long time so i'm sure it's mechanical, just not sure exactly what it is. Any help would be appreciated
I am personally thinking that it is due to engine hop. The engine is revved real high and working hard in 1st gear at 5500 and for it to then change gears smoothly would be difficult. The tranny is flying around with the engine, so I'm thinking that it is just hard to switch gears cleanly with it hopping around so much.

That could be a possibility which i thought of, but i've shifted at this point numerous times and it has only grinded twice so i'm confused. Thanx for the input though, i appreciate it
