Default Anyone ever remove this fuel line?

Well when i did my nitrous install i kind of half-assed the fuel tap. Since ive done it i feel as though my fuel pressure dropped since my motor's response has slowed considerably. I've been putting off fixing it for a while but i'm ready to do it. But i have one question.

Does anyone know how the F to get this hose/connector off? The repair manual says to use a toyota tool but im sure theres a way without it. I'm thinking about just taking 2 paper clips and shoving the 4 ends behind it. I've seen people sell these lines used before so im sure someone knows how to get them off.

i believe that the toyota tool up there in the diagram wedges in between the coupler for the fuel line and pushes a circle retaining spring to open up. when the spring opens the tension is gone that is holding the lines together. u can use the similar tools from a a/c line kit. thats what i used when i changed my fuel filter in my ford ranger. it was the same deal as what your doing up there.

It's kinda of a pain in the a$$ to remove without the tool of course but if u have a small flat head screwdriver u can gently pry against the inner clips to release it

I thought the kit for changing the fuel filters at Sears was the same tool, check it out,it was under $25 for all the sizes, and it should work.

Most automotive parts stores have them. All you need is the a/c line removal tool and the right size one you will be good.

The tool doesn't work. There's 2 barbs in the hard line. One to hold the soft line on, and another to stop you from using that tool. Lol.

I just took off the fuel rail and used paper clips to pull the retainer out of the hose.

I figured out why my car was running so crappy. Take a look.

She runs 10x better now.
