Default anyone have video sound clip of....

Injen CAI, Megan header, stock s and mid pipe, and Injen exhaust?

Found a really good deal on a Megan header so probably buying it tomorrow, just wondering what it will sound like. It's from an 06 but only used 3 months, should work on a 2010 right?

Sorry if any of this was answered before, it's a hassle to search through all the threads on an Android phone. Thanks in advance for replies.

Won't sound good. Stock S-pipe and mid pipe = RAAAAAAAASP with any header. You'd be best going with a Tsudo/Megan midpipe and a Megan s-pipe before putting the header in.
Trust me, I know.

I'll wait to install the header then, picking up tonight. Too good of a deal to pass up. I keep reading on her that everyone says to either leave the stock mid pipe or add resonators to an aftermarket one to keep down the rasp.

You can always add resonators (high flow resonators, Aero AR-25 is the best) to kill the rasp, but a header with a stock midpipe will see small gains. Getting a bigger midpipe and spipe will help you get better flow through.

I personally won't get a resonator because welding weakens stainless steel and makes it prone to rusting. My super pretty, shiny, Tsudo mid pipe will never see another resonator welded on for that reason. I'm saving for a Spipe and then my exhaust set up will be complete.

I wanted the Weapon R one but can't afford it. I'm getting this one which is about 4 months old for $70. So why not get it? If I don't like it, it was cheap and can try to resell it.

stock piping with a Megan 4-1 header? You're gonna end up spending more than $70. Nuff said. Check the "all headers rasp" thread for more info.

I went back to OEM exhaust manifold + stock s-pipe + Megan mid-pipe on a total of 38" of resonators and Hi-Power HKS axle.

Disagree with the poster about resonators and welding. I went to a dude who actually knew what he was doing with welding, welded and sprayed some clear on the weld spots immediately to burn-in and prevent rust. I've driven through rain so far and no rust yet. It isn't shiny but it's not rusty either. Just like how it was when he welded those areas in.
