Anyone try BG44K?
Heard the products name come up and I read up on it some. Apparently this stuff is good. Toyota dealerships stock it for fuel system services and even the guys on BobIsTheOilGuy.com had good things to say about it (usually you can find a handful of guys on that site that will trash absolutely everything)
Going to do a pre-winter service soon (new engine/tranny oil, TB cleaning and new battery) and thinking I might add BG44K to the list. My idle is getting a little choppy. I've got a can of Seafoam at home too.

I used BG 44k on a full tank of gas, when it was done I filled it back up and put in some BG CF5. Went home and poured some BG 109 into the crank case and ran the car for 10 or so minutes at 1200rpm like it said. Then changed the oil, it was beyond black and just nasty. Put on a Royal Purple filter and filled up the oil with Royal Purple. I went ahead and put in some BG MOA, normally I wouldnt put in an additive but it was free. But over all my car ran really nicely with the combination of their products.

yeah do a search for 44k, I've posted many times about it on here. It's an excellent cleaner. I have tried others in the past like 3M's cleaner (meh), and Chevron's Techron (not that good). BG's 44k was the ONLY one that actually cleaned out things and restored the engine back to perfect.
It's about $20 a can. All you do is.. just get a funnel, pour the 44k into a tank of 1/4 or less, then fill up (this way you mix the 44k in with the fuel), run it through, fill up the tank run that tank through, then get yourself an oil change. Reason is, there is a slight chance the 44k can leave an oil residue to the cylinder walls and mix with the oil. It's not a big deal, but for me I'd rather get that diluted oil out of there. Once you use 44k you'll wonder why you never used it before. Usually keeps my engine clean for about 20k miles before I have to use it.

About your tb cleaning, if you're not aware I'll tell ya. The intake is made of a plastic composite resin, don't think about spraying tb cleaner into the throat, spray it onto a shop rag then wipe the plate and throttle bore down. didn't want you to melt the plastic intake with the tb spray.
Thanks for the tip about the TB. I'll do that for sure. The spark plugs in my car are only a couple thousand miles old. Should I swap them out for my old plugs while the 44K is in the system and then swap them back along with the new oil? Or are they not in any danger of getting fouled.
