Just spoke with a Toyota Tech... he gave us some useful information, hopefully it works. We're also having an Alldata rep come by the shop to help us do some more troubleshooting.

I'll post back with the results of what works!

So, we swapped the ECU, little black box (immobilizer box), and ignition cylinder, along with one dash harness, and we'll be swapping both door locks so everything is key'd the same.

IT'S RUNNING!!!!!!!!! :D

Yea thats the from the alldata page, but they take that out from the service manual... i read the whole page and it seems that this is just for the keyless entry, not immobilizer

i cant find any info on the immobilizer :\ have you tried hotwiring the car (12v to starter?)

We got it running. The customer is picking it up in about an hour.

The page you gave me was only one of 6 pages, actually. it's in sequence with opening and closing the doors, taking the key in and out, turning the key on and off, etc, etc. haha Pretty elaborate, and kind of funny to watch. We needed to re-program the keyless entry, since we switched the ECU, immobilizer unit, dash harness, the ignition cylinder, and both door locks, so that was very helpful.

We actually had an alldata rep and a toyota tech helping us out with the final steps, but we got it up and running, with a factory fit and finish.

double post...

anyway, thanks for the point in the right direction!!

I'll post back when we get the manual to automatic swap done on our donor car. We had our body guy look at it, since we bought it as a "wrecked donor car", and he said it's actually easily fixable!! (airbags didn't even deploy) So, we'll be fixing it up, and using the automatic parts from this car we just finished, and installing them on the "donor car".

I'll make a new thread about that once it's finished

Thanks again!
Emilie
