Hey guys, I'm also planning to do a transmission swap. I'm in the process of buying parts one by one and planning to do a swap before the summer ends.

I've so far ordered a new transaxle from world racing (like geo46_2) and a trd lsd.

I have a few questions for you guys tho. Since there are not that many junkyards around my area finding a wrecked tc is pretty hard so I probably will order parts new from dealership and etc. But I can't seem to find a pedal assembly and a shifter linkage on websites that sell oem parts (trdsparks, myscionparts, and etc). Does anybody know where I can order them from?

Also I think I'm gonna get a manual ecu and wiring harness other than keeping the auto ones but I know I will have to trick the immobilizer to start the car, if anyone knows a way to trick it plz let me know.

I'm just concerning about missing small parts like screws and nuts when I start the swap and find out that I'm missing something, are there any other parts that I need but are not on the list in page1?

Thanks.

Thanks for your comment, SoFloTC.

Yea I bought a clutch pedal assembly on ebay too and it came with a master cylinder so I saved about $80 for it. I also ordered Doc.I's gearswitchers and an OEM shifter kit with all the cables still on it but i don't know if this is a shift/shifter linkage. What exactly is a shift linkage?

this is the shifter with cables I ordered

Since my transaxle didn't come with any mounts/brackets I was looking to buy mounts and I figured out that not only the rear mount is different. If you see diagrams for manual and auto mounts, left side bracket, damper side bracket, rear mount bracket, rear insulator, and damper rear insulator are different too. However, it looks like the front mounts are same for both manual and auto. Can anyone confirm this?

here are diagrams

Is there a need to switch the axels? Somebody told me that there wasnt a differnce but I seen in the thread that you guys changed it? is this true?
And you guys are saying to change out the ECU and the wire harness right?
Also what kind of clutch sould I get? Ill be running a ZPI stage 1 kit. Have it now on my auto at 13psi at 260whp. So I dont know where that will put me on hp and tq numbers with the manual.

Thinking about it. The trans it starting to flare up a bit going from 2nd to 3rd. So idk this might be the cheaper route I think for me. I talked to some people and to rebuild the trans is like 3 grand dont know if I want to spend all that for the auto trans when I could do the manual swap cheaper and get alot more power out of the car.
Also I dont want to have any problems with the built trans remember SoFlotc had his trans fully built and couldnt even get it to shift right. Just do want to end up there.
Just doing some research right now.

Only thing about using the ecu and harness is the cel is on due to the loose plugs cause the auto uses more than manal so it assumes something is missing

Ya i dont have to worry about the CEL mine is always on anyways so its not a huge deal for me. Just trying to figure out if I did do it what kind of cluth I should get.

Also dont know how I would break the clutch in with my map. Dont know if I should just turn the boost way down and run it to break in the clutch. People said that the auto map is way different than a manual map.

not so much different, just put the clutch in and dont go into the high rpm's, shift smoothly, not fast like ur racing and u should be good...
