Auto to Manual Transmission Swap - Parts List
Hey any updates from the guys who used the auto computer and harness? How have they been running? Any problems?
Also what did you guys do with the extra plugs you had left over? Did you just zip tie them up somewhere out of the way or did you cut them?

Well I droped the auto trans out today. But when I unbolted the flywheel from the motor there was 2 little spacer plates on both sides of the flywheel. do they both go back where they came from when I put my manual flywheel in??
Okey after reading all this I think my best bet is buy everything and take it somewhere to be done. I am only doing this cuz my RS1 is so clean in and out but I hate its not a 5 speed and the mr2 is haha.
guess i got lucky
.. but you should do it, no car should have to suffer the life of being auto... also if you want im getting a new transmission in a month and im selling mine dirt chea.... ooohhh youre in new york, well good luck anyway
haha yahh only have 30k on mine so im actually doing this swap soon i got enough for the turbo and the swap so I'm stoked and ready to go to work XD.... while junkyards ebay n craigslist haha
sounds good, i swappped and i love it , not sure what i was thinking when i purchased my car ,auto .. lol. bubble clutching is fun. lol . it onlyt cost me around $900 for trans act clutch holds up to 520hp. harness ecm, clutch cables shifter cage, clutch slave and master, every thing else i used from my auto trans
The most expensive thing in that list is the transaxle. Just buy a junker of of ebay for around 300-400 bucks and rebuild it with clutch-master internals. It will cost you somewhere around $900 when its all said and done. The rest of the parts aren't that bad in price. You can get away will building a solid set-up for less than the price of a new turbo kit.
