Has anyone broken their axle while using drag slicks and having just the i/h/e etc.. bolt ons ?

Sorry to hear about your broken axle. Slicks can be really hard on drivetrane parts. I have a set of Drive Shaft Shop Axles for sale PM me if your interested.

 

i dont think the power being pushed out by the I/H/E combo is enough to break axles...

 

if your using slicks then it is.
i would run DR's or upgrade the axles.

 

ScionCREW ... oh i didnt break my axle i was just wondering if anyone has .. hahaha sorry about the confuse yeah i wanted to run slicks but was affraid of breaking parts so thats why i was asking

well hopefully when i do run slicks i wont break anything and can someone give me more advice about them

What DR's does people use for the TC? Once I'm boosted I'll have to throw some on...

 

I am boosted and last summer made about 70 runs on my Hoosier slicks with a Phantom Grip (not true LSD) . I bring my rpm to 4500 then dump the clutch and my stock axles are fine. I think that sudden jolts break axles. For example wheel hop is one of the ways I could see breaking an axle.

Keep dumping the clutch and even on street axles you'll see the wear in time. Even faster than normal.
