which is the best exhaust suited with the alphawerks header without having to get a resonator? Anybody have sound clips of the Greddy EVOII ehxaust combined with the aw header?

 

naah but greddy evo ii a good exhaust

 

any catback or axleback exhaust will have rasp and will not sound great at all WITHOUT a resonator. resonator is the only solution to get rid of rasp. there should be some video clips of different exhaust iwth headers might wanna search.

 

the evo 2 is one of the raspier ones with headers...

a good axle back for no rasp would be the precision muffler, or HKS

every tC has a resonator, a larger one is needed, or an extra one

for catbacks i would go with ARK, Megan(maybe), and the draxas

DO NOT GET MAGNAFLOW is your gettin headers BECAUSE... there is no resonator, you will die of rasp

 

i have draxas with resonator and AW header. Still get rasp. I dont think the resonator is big enough. I dont mind though. Its all about the power for me.

 

My audio clips are in the sound thread sticky but I have to be VERY HONEST here. I have spent a fortune trying to get back the cool sound of my TRD exhaust with my AW header. I have dual resonators and it is not raspy per say but still sounds like a way too loud trumpet/trombone effect and low RPM's. The TC does not re-act like other cars with headers. Many other cars do not have their main cat inside the stock manifold. As I type this a hi-flow cat is on its way from magnaflow. I do not care if I loose some of the top end I picked up because I'm going to get back all that low end torque that I traded for it. Save cash in the long run and when you put the header on your TC have a hi-flow converter to put where the useless after converter is on the mid pipe and use the stock resonator and see what you think.
