So if you get pulled over and they say that your TRD exhaust is too loud, its illegal... I think that is stupid...
Excessively noisy exhaust systems and mufflers (27150, 27151 VC). Many aftermarket exhaust systems and parts are illegal. Look for parts that meet California law. If it doesn't say it meets the law, it probably doesn't.
Exhaust systems which meet smog requirements but are still too loud. Exhaust equipment that states it is, "Legal in all 50 states," refers to smog, not noise.
Note: New law (27150.2 VC) does not require law enforcement to use sound level meters to test for excessive noise. Citation is based on officer's judgment. Cited violators may have testing done at smog referee stations or may be directed by the court to have testing done. Vehicles in violation must be brought into compliance. A fine may also be imposed.

some cops are just stupid.
a friend of mine got pulled over for a "modified exhaust"
thing is, he has the stock exhaust, but has a k&n intake, so that just goes to show you how stupid some people really are

Boy, Cali cops really make up thier own probable cause laws huh? Glad I dont have to put up with that BS for sure. What next? You have long hair so we have probable cause to stop you and search for drugs?

yup... ive been pulled over for my TYC's before 
then i obviously gave the cop lip.. lets just say i used freedom of speech to the fullest.
cali cops are so fukin stupid nowadays it ____es the hell out of me!!!

cops dont pull you over unless its really really loud.. and this one isnt too loud, but you cant tell
also, if your exhaust makes noise at idle they will get you, and thats stupid if it does make noise at idle, cuz its too loud then

i live in cali and have had to pop my hood and deal with tons of fix it tickets... tint, exhaust, air suspension, driving to low, music to loud, headlight and turn signal bulbs, taillights, bald tires.... lcd tv's in view of the driver... you name it ive been sited for it. california need to give this nonsence a rest. i dont street race, i drive a vehicle for show. nice car / clean with money and hard work invested into it = harrassment. sorry for the rant. keep modding you cars the way you want to pay the fines and keep on rollin, you know what they say, you gotta pay to play

yea cali cops are retarded. they make up they own sh*t when they pull u over. i mean if they knew wtf they talkin bout then i wouldn't be as mad when i get cited. been thrown in the bac of patrol cars a couple of times for arguin my case. i guess freedom of speech don't exist. i been pulled over by all law enforcement here in sac. city cops, sheriffs, and highway patrol. good thing i don't live by mexico or else border patrol might *** wif me too. they need to quit racial profilin.

racial profiling is a must for cops lol.they put me on the curb in handcuffs sayimgmy car was stolen, when i had the pinkslip, registration, insurance all in my name. they also pulled me over when i was all alone on the freeway, first he said i need to fix my tint then i say yes sir, then he says oh yea u were speeding. oh yea cops here in cali have quotas no matter how much they deny it. cuzin works for sherriffs office in torrence

im an a$$ to cops all the time, but i know how to drive so i dont get caught...
i've been pulled over numerous amounts of times but have gotten ticketed only once, so im not worried about racial profilin at all.
like i can convince cops that i wasnt doing anything wrong, and then i mention who i know and i dont get looked at twice..
except of course once i got pulled over by a crown vicky police interceptor.. SHIOT was i scared, but i was VERY VERY VERY nice to that cop and he let me off with a warning, i got pulled over for lowered suspension and loud exhaust on my old car
