Me and my buddy were just coming back from work and we decided to run em' on this back-road near by... Only problem was my bottle is running at 350psi (instead of 950psi) because its only 13 degrees in Chicago right now... He's got a modded '07 WRX with a COBB Stage 2 making about 280HP/340lbs. at 16PSI. He was ahead of me, but I wasn't too far behind - I noticed a huge difference with the cold bottle, much slower... We'll try again some other time when my bottle is warm, I'll bring it inside next time... Word of advice to anyone buying a Nitrous kit - GET A BOTTLE WARMER!... That's my only regret...

yeah but obviously if your drag racing sometimes you will floor it even if you missed the shift because things are going so quick. i would imagine a situation like that wouldnt be good

true but you would have to have a window switch for that to be the case... obviously that's not included in the zex kit.

yeah I have an NOS kit, and window switch should always be ran IMHO, but the zex kit does have a TPS switch, and if you go into ignition cut like our limiter does than your nitrous would cut off since the WOT signal would be canceled

When I first installed the kit I actually did that from 2nd to 3rd ... The RPM just shot up and bounced off the limiter... I let off the pedal really quick and clutched in, nothing happened... Now if you kept your foot on the gas pedal, I don't think the end results would be good lol ...

Figured I'd do a little update... My purge pipe rusted badly so I decided to sand and paint it... I should have done this from the get-go, but it finally got to the point where I couldn't stand to look at it anymore... Not to mention that even before it rusted the little bit that was sticking out between the hood and fender looked horrible...

Rusted:

Started sanding with 400 grit:

Primered (Stuck a Zip-Tie in the hole to prevent it from cloging ):

First coat in black:

Third coat in black, and after some cure time the first coat of clear:

Third coat of clear, and 48hrs cure time... Installed on car (Zip-Tie keeps it from banging around durring purges):

You can barely see it with the flash... If you were just passing by you'd really have to look to see it now... So much better than before ...

i have read of plenty of people running 75 shots with no fuel managment and being just fine... some peopel actually went up to a 100 shot... that i wouldnt recommend tho... ive also heard that autos should be fine up to 65 shot, which is wat i plan on using if my install ever gets finished

I'm running an "80" shot on my auto. It runs fine. Just let off the spray between shifts and dont hit it again until youre positive that youre in gear. Your shift will LAG like hell if you keep spraying through. Actually, i cant go into 2nd if i keep spraying.
