i put my intake back on a bone stock motor today because its in the high 30s outside and i wanted to do somes cold air driving with the short ram on for fun.

this intake was installed before with no problems at all, i ran it for 7 months and then it was off for about 2 , but for some reason today its throwing a CEL....but this time its blinking

when i had the header on it would throw CELs, but the light on the dash would be constant

now it blinks under acceleration and going up hills...anyone ever seen this or know why it blinks???...plmk

 

Reset the ECU?

I had the same blinking CEL problem with my xB. I was blaming my InjenSRI, but the dealer found a bad spark plug... Don't assume it's the intake, it might be the car.

a blinking CEL means stop driving now because you are going to damage your cat and your 02 sensors. the blinking means there is a major malfunction.

i just switched back to the oe intake and everything seems to be fine now..weird
im gona go run around and see what happens..thanks guys!

 

you might want to go to the dealer eitherway, better safe than sorry
