do it. bypass valves are much cheaper than fixing a hydrolocked engine.

AEM is the only company that i know of that makes them for intake systems. and no its not hard to install, because the pipes are pre cut. so just put the filter in between the pipes, and ur good to go.

I thought these were a waste until I ALMOST hydrolocked my car. $50 is worth it for some added piece of mind.

Injen makes a (nylon I think?) cone cover that lets in air but repels waters.

At first I read it wrong, I swear I saw BOV and not BPV, so I was like WTFRIDGE?! a blow off valve on an intake, YOU CRASY!

I read somewhere that there is cutting/fabrication needed to get the AEM BPV to work on the Injen CAI, is this true or can I just get a 3" BPV and put it in place of where the black coupler goes like in the pic posted above?

really? I'm not sure about that, I thought it would just go in between some couplers.

On trdsparks.com they sell the Injen CAI + AEM BPV as a combo and have, "SOME SLIGHT MODIFICATION MAY BE NEEDED." written in the description.

You can buy it here.

I started to get a ton of PMs so I will try to answer the most common ones here...

Q1: Where did you buy our intake in BPV?
I bought my combo from Sparks Toyota: CAI/Short RAM with Bypass Valve Combo-Polished (it is also available in Black)

Q2: Was it easy to install? Did it require "SOME SLIGHT MODIFICATION"?
In my picture I did not modify anything, everything is as you see it when you take it out of the packages. However, this was not an easy task but obviously not impossible, help from a friend is most likely necessary. (My neighbor saw me struggling to get everything lined up and came over to lend a hand.)

To have everything fit/align properly with out a battle you would have to cut/trim the intake. A pattern as to where you cut is provided with the BPV.

Q3: Are those the original clamps that came with the combo?
No, I was checking out my friends newly built Advance Auto and I came across those. I think they were made by APC.

Keep posting the questions and I will do my best to update this if I know the answer. Thanks!!
