My friend's 350Z has his muffler removed.

SRT-4 has no muffler.

It's cool!

Supa i just have one question for you, have you already paid for the exhaust considering you havent seen the dyno results yet? I just hope you don't get burned like so many others i know. I have the TRD (Borla) cat back exhaust and it hasnt done me wrong yet.

Yes I already bought it. It should be here today or tomorrow. I don't care if it posts high numbers I just mainly want a nice sound. Exhausts don't add enough power to even notice usually. 10HP is not going to even be noticable when driving it.

10 hp is noticeable...

10 hp out of the exhaust alone is a lot actually.

10HP is not very noticable. If you weld on a fart can you will not notice any difference. Exhausts really only show big gains on turbo cars. NA cars benefit nothing from an exhaust for the most part.

i hate to tell you this but TRD(borla) doesn't have a cat-back system. they have an axleback system

OK I did this mod just because I hate flaming and I wanted to see exactly what no muffler sounded like......and I sold my TRD exhaust so it was a perfect oppourtunity to run around with no exhaust until tomorrow when i will put the stock exhaust back on.....

It actually sounds pretty good....in a loud open exhaust sort of way....its deeper sounding than the TRD exhaust but kinda raspy at certain RPM's......Props to SupaWhiteTc for taking a chance to see what it sounds like....

There isn't really any sort of performance increase at all....maybe a little in the higher rpm's....definately lacks in low end torque.....

Congrats to on the new exhaust....a little expensive for my tastes but sounds like it will be quality.....hope to hear sound clips soon.....

So to all you flamers.....flame away....i dont care.....

Boy does this kid want sound or performance, he says in some parts the numbers don't matter and then he is talking about how many numbers it produces, what is it son sound or performance or both let us know.

Axlebacks are a worthless investment, because all they do is make sound and no power, The new exhaust has a high flow cat no resonator and a Borla muffler, so I think it should add decent power.

Wow you got rid of alot of your post there skinny.....I actually haven't gotten rid of it yet.....I have my stock exhaust on right now.....I was gonna go for something a little more custom but I dunno my plans may change.....

AND yes from my experience running around with no exhaust from the axel back it doesnt sound that bad once the car is warmed up and the butt dyno says there is a little bit more power up top....even my friends noticed it.....but low end torque dropped....

So I put my stock exhaust back on.....might go with TRD again....not sure at the moment.....I will probably use it until I can find someone to buy it locally.....I dunno...

Ah geez...you are gonna drag the true story out of me....

I actually sold it on eBay for 300 and went to ship it today....120 dollars just to ship it....UPS automatically assumes it weighs 85lbs just because of the size of the box.... ..... so I might keep it.....not sure....if you wanna spend 420 dollars on TRD exhaust be my guest....

those are great numbers, but what I was saying is the kid said numbers were what he was wanting and then he said sound was what he was wanting and he was arguing about both so which does he want is what I was saying. I don't know what your numbers are until you post them, you say they are posted but where? link somewhere I'm guessing? Not going against you just him. And it better produce some numbers for dang 750 bucks, heck you can do any other exhaust and intake for that price and probably produce the same or more numbers and you have two parts instead of one

man, it got hot in here in no time. Believe it or not the tC does sound pretty dar good without the muffler. I did some testing on it a while back without the muffler. It sounded like a porsche racer!! You guys should try it sometime just to hear it. The two catalytic converters and the resinator help out with the sound note and HP IS actually gained!

Might have to start rethinking this cheap exhaust mod for sale. :D
