Default Bypass Valve.

After reading the thread about hydrolocking your engine. I'm scared that this might happen to me. I have the injen cold air intake and I just wanna know what size would I need? 3" or 2.5" Will it work if I try to put an AEM bypass valve?

I'd like to know more about this bypass valve also. With all the rain that was in Southern California a few days ago and the upcoming winter, I think the bypass valve would be a good idea.

My bypas valve says 2.25" on it. It is an AEM on an xB, I don't know if it will fit a tC. I also don't know if it is 2.25 I.D. or O.D.

if your that concerned why dont you just switch your injen to a short ram. then hydrolocking would not be an issue

^, are you serious? i thought the same thing when i installed the SRI, but decided to go full CAI. i have to tell you that you have got to purposely drive into a 4 foot puddle to fully submerge were that filter sits. im getting a bypass eventually, but for right now, its nothing you should be at most concerned about

Yeah but it's more for a peace of mind thing. I drive much slower in the rain and I try to avoid any puddles at all. And losing 1-2 hp (I think those are the numbers) and not having to worry about hydrolocking is worth it in my opinion..
