Default A/C Compressor oil

while rebuilding my engine i accidentally punctured my ac condenser releasing all of the freon. I was wondering if it would be bad on the A/C compressor to be running the car without recharging the freon.
I heard that the freon contains oil in it that lubricates the compressor.
or does the compressor have internal oil that wouldn't be lost when i loose my freon?
Would it be ok to run the car if i don't run the ac?

if anyone has any info on this it would be greatly appreciated.

you're just gonna need to suck it up without running the A/C until you change the condenser out.

one of those suckers is like about $600 or so.

one option would be to use the old compressor in place for now, just to keep you belts going the proper way, and disconnect the connector for the clutch on the compressor, that way if you do accidentally turn on the ac the clutch won't engage and seize the compressor.

then when you can get the new one swapped and refilled

It is the condenser he replaced, not the compressor.

As mentioned, dont run it without any freon in it. It will also run if you turn on the defroster, so dont use that either.
