i'm going to put a CAI on my tc. I live in Wisconsin and we have pretty cold winters (as low as -10 F). would it be better for me to switch over to a short ram for the winter? what other options do i have?

i tried searching for this but i gave up with so many posts.

Shouldn't make any difference. The whole point of a CAI is for cooler air, so really it's the best time to use one... at least that's what my own logic tells me.

 

Your option would be to run stock .. then save money for a turbo cause you will need different setup .

yeah, if you were to install your cold air intake, you'd see that the air filter goes inside the wheel well/front bumper.....optimal place for cool air....the short ram goes in your engine bay which would produce hotter air.....either way, its more sound because the gains are very minimal...does free up a little throttle response too....damn -10...haha....for CA, here 50 is like ice storm, haha

 

when its REALLY cold out, i can feel my car pull so much harder with the CAI. usually when its like below 20 degrees. wait for it to be really cold, you'll like it.
