Default Calling ALL! Headers Whats good, input? suggestions?

Hello all! Just curious as to what Headers most people have been using, on there TC what brand gives the most BANG for the Buck$$ im looking to do headers and downpipe, any suggestions? on what brand? and should i do just headers no downpipe? Looking for some input on what will give me the best results. And curious im sure some sort of powerband? TOP END and or low end. but whats the difference between 4/1 headers as opposed to 2/1 headears? Which is better?

any input is greatly appreciated!

4-2-1 will give you more low end. while 4-1 will give you more top end.

i have the megan racing header and i think its the best bang for the buck.

i picked up the megan racing header + downpipe for about 280.

if you dont mind lots of rattling and raspy sounds coming out of your exhaust then definately go with the MMW!

this is coming from someone who installed the s-pipe upside down?

im sorry but a good percentage of people who install headers on this site get rasp because they install the headers wrong or do not torque the bolts down in the correct order and TQ pressure.

installed correctly you should get little to no rasp.

It also depends on the design of the header itself, not just the bolt torque. Excess turbulance from exhaust gases being scavenged out of the cylinders causes a good bit of rasp through the pipes also. But yes, torque pressure does add to the raspiness.

It's so hard to even imagine putting it on wrong when it's quite intuitive. hahaha..............maybe they should start marking A and B sides like CATs for some people who think they know what they're doin?........
