Default can some explain me this about acelleration and lag?

today after over a year, I decided to drop some dead weight and remove the subwoofers.

so I had the fuse taken out and disconnected for the subs prior to driving it home and on my way home I noticed that the car was more responsive and acellerated without lagging as much?

is this placebic or what? I wasn't even expecting anything to be different, I just disconnected the subs. Im thinkin this is most likely placebic?

anyhow when I got home I took out the subs, I weighed them and they clocked in at 50lbs!

so now Im glad , 50lbs of dead weight gone from the hatch.

hah. Gonna take it out for a spin right now, and hopefully the car will acellerate slight better.

I know, I know, 50lbs is nothing, but after a year of driving with them in, I hopefully detect even the slightest change

also anyhow anyone also notice any change in handling when the back seats are folded all the way down, and when they're right side up?

less weight more go, also there is a conspiracy theory on electronics affecting the drive by wire ( aka the ground wire units in the engine bay).

if the seats are up i would suspect a stiffer rear section, kinda like the c-pillar bar you can buy which goes between the back seat belt brackets. Of course the seats wont affect it as much as the c-pillar bar would.

very good possibility,
but than when I just disconnected the subs, with the subs still in the car while driving home, the car felt like it was reacting faster and idled better. It was a change I noticed when I was driving and I didn't even expect anything, because subs were still sitting in the car while I was driving.
not sure if its really 100 percent placebo when I wasn't expecting a change in the first place.

that could be from your subs sucking up to much juice from your car and thus doesn't give the engine the best spark that it could
