Can reseting the ecu work too?
If so how do you do that?

Disconnect battery for 10 mins or so. You'll have to "re-teach" the windows and sunroof after btw.

make sure its connected to the throttle body correctly, snug and all the way on it

i'm not sure resetting your tC's PCM is a good idea but it can be done. usually you can just disconnect the battery for about 5 minutes and that erases all the PCM's learned behavior (timing advance, short/long term fuel trim). many people do this to turn off the MIL lamp but it doesn't erase the code, just turns the light off.

there is a possibility of shorting out any part on a 12v system if unplugged with juice still to it......jsut cause you have not done it yet does not meen it cannot happen.....read the manual on any electrical part on a car,step 1 is always unhook battery......there is a reason.....

Well bought some cleaner and for the maf and will see how that goes if not then I guess only choice is new maf.

cleaned it off and looks shinny now compared to before with all the dirt over it, but as i wait for it to dry does anyone know which fuse it the MAF because i have been told that some guy had same problem and just had to change a fuse so which one is the one?

I finally found the code that is the cel is giving off P0103

could this mean a bad maf sensor? Or something more.

My CEL is on too. grrrr. It came on like two months after I installed my CAI. it turns on and off, and it doesn't really seem to affect the performance too much. I threw the same code P0103 and i figured it was my MAF. I'm looking into a new one just cause I don't like the light.

well confirmed the problem using my friends maf from his car and as alot of you guys said the MAF sensor has been damaged bah.....

what do you guys recommend on buying the one from the
dealership 160
kragen 100
auto zone 80
and was planning on going to a big junk yard that specializes in scions and find a MAF sensor there
