Car wont start
Ok, I want to start off by saying, I read probably about 20 different posts on this, but some didnt really relate to the same problem, or it just really didnt answer my question. I have an '05 TC with about 16K miles on it. Orriginal owner. I have not done anything special to it other than I put in a sub and amp a little over a year ago. In the last month I have been having problems with the car starting. Sometimes after sitting in the car with the key on (car not running) listening to the radio. Like the other day, I was waiting on the wife to get out of work for less than ten minutes with just the radio on (no sub...its wired to a switch). And the car wouldnt start. It would try, but wouldnt turn over. Then today I was washing the car, and went to go pull the car back up into the drive way and it wouldnt start. I hadnt even had the keys in the car! Its done this in different variations about 6 times in the last month. Im pretty sure it isnt a battery issue, but I could be wrong. It has the stock battery with the sensor on it, and it says battery is fine. Could this be a starter, or altenator? All gages were on, clock held time, lights, locks, and windows would work. No radio, and no start. It didnt even make a sound when I tried to start it. All help or ideas are appreciated!
you cant listen to your radio w/ just your car. bat. on b/c itll use the amp and subs, which sucks the **** out of your stock battery. its not a battery issue, its just that your battery life is like 3 seconds w/ a subwoofer amp set up....just listen to ur radio w/ the car on, and if you want to turn on just your battery make sure your radio is turned off.
well 1st off... you needa check ur flux capacitor.. j/k yeah it miiiiight be a battery issue.. does it turn over at all? you can't just go by lights and radio bs.. it doesn't take much to use those but yeah have ur battery checked out and then go from there
when you sit and listen to the radio without the car running is the key in the acc position? or on? I've heard of starter solenoids burning out when the key is left in the on position and the car isnt running...
It could be the engine imobilzer. Check to see that the status light below the recirculation button turns off after you insert the key.
Also, next time it won't start check to see what the light's doing. it should be off.

Is it a manual? Are you pressing the clutch ALL of the way to the floor? If you're off by a half inch or more, it will not start. Will not turn off. Will not pass go. Will not collect $200.
Other than that it sounds like an electrical problem. Since you have so few miles, I'd find a way to replicate the problem (if you can) and take it in to the dealer and see what they say. That's what warranties are for.

its the battery, no doubt about it. same thing happened to me like 6 months ago. The sensor said it was fine but it was drained. I hid my ground wires in the firewall, unhooked my sub and took it in for a new battery. After they put in the new one i was fine.
