CARB Numbers
i live in CA and have an AEM cai, with the bypass, etc....and was wondering, does that "AEM sticker" constitute as the CARB legal identification on the part? Also, i have a Tanabe Axle-back exhaust and was wondering if that was carb legal either. Thanks

I don't believe the AEM CAI has a CARB exemption number... yet.
As long as the exhaust doesn't modify or delete original emissions equipment, it doesn't require a CARB exemption number, however, it does have to be under 95 dB.

ok, cause i was wondering where to find the carb legal number on the aem, cause the box says 50 state legal. With the tanabe, its axle back, so it shouldn't replace on parts....well i think, haha

that box is full of BS then because CARB has not exempted or approved of and CAI for the tC yet! Hopefully it will be soon, i know that Injen just got their CAI's for the xa and xb prior to 04 exemption numbers, so again, hopefully soon
