Default Castrol Syntec or Mobil 1 full synthetic?

I am a big fan of synthetic oil and have used Castrol Syntec in my last two vehicles which
had 175,000 and 190,000 miles on them when I sold them and the engines never had problems and was always told by people that they drove like new when they drove them. I've noticed that alot of people on this forum use Mobil 1 when they switch to synthetic and I've also heard that alot of manufacturer's put Mobil 1 in cars from the factory (ie. Corvette). Is Mobile 1 better than Castrol Syntec? Also which Mobil 1 is better? The regular Mobil 1 full Synthetic or the Mobil 1 Extended Performance full Synthetic? I love my cars and change the oil myself and I think paying the extra money to keep my cars driving like new is totally worth the extra money Please chime in with your opinions and hopefully you have some facts to back it up.

Mobil One was the original and is available just about everywhere you look. I am sure its place in history has added to its popularity. Castol makes fine products and I doubt their synthetic is inferior to Mobil Ones There have been a lot of threads on synthetic oil. Do a search and you will see them. If you change the oil often there is no need for the extended life oil.
