CEL after O2 antifouler installed in s -pipe
HELP!!! sorry to drop this thread but I have a problem: ERZ header installed put in anti fouler after first CEL light in s-pipe now I used a actron scanner to reset code yesterday today driving down road and CEL light comes back on this what am i missing? anyone give me a hand with this one.
What kind of s pipe are you using ??? if your using a stock mid pipe u might have the same problem i had. what kind of anti fouler are you using ?? are you using the the straight pipe or are you using the l shapped one ??
i am using stock s-pipe and the straight antifouler. I was not aware that I had to drill out the hole larger on the antifouler does the antifouler hole need to be larger then what it comes as?
sounds like you have the same problem then.. for some reason with that antifouler the check engine light comes on with the stock s pipe.. i had the same thing. i would reset the ecu and right after lets say 15minutes driving it will come on . you either need the L Shape antifouler or you can buy a 2.5 s-pipe to completely get rid of it. For me i had already ordered one when i installed my header so ounce i put the s pipe it went away. my buddy just did the dyi with the spark blugs to make it a L shape and it got rid of his cel light. so you can go either way..
the package comes with (2) anti foulers.. you drill one out with i believe its a 9/16 drill bit (so the oxygen sensor screws in tight) then you attach it to the second anti fouler ( the non-drilled one) then attach it to your s-pipe.. I ran this on my stock s-pipe for months with no problem..
here you go.. follow the link and its pretty much a step by step on how to make a antifouler . hope it helps .

I have a backwoods solve for cel pop out instrument panel it is one screw and pull out odometer this takes 2 min pop out tabs and put ele. tape over cel light this works as well some will say oh cannot diagnosis car but if u got cel on does not make any difference I have tried on my car antifoul straight and L type and changed s-pipe but this here works. buy a programmable scanner if you hear something going on with your motor and save your self the trouble.... test your car every few months to see if a code comes up scanners at autozone 50.00 to 75.00 good investment
