Then don't be cheap.

You can have it fast/reliable/cheap. Pick two. I always go with fast/reliable.

uhm...its a pipe...with a pollution control or a sound surpressor, not much can go wrong, so long as it fits right and is held on tight enough.

thats basically what i did, chopped both the megan resonators off and had my new ones replace them, but it will end up costing you a lot more than just getting something custom made from the get go.

Examples.

Fast/Reliable - PTuning. Best quality, best performance, expensive as hell.
Fast/Cheap - Custom. Get a replica of the PTuning and skimp out on the build quality and end up with fitment issues, etc
Reliable/Cheap - Stock. Nothing will ever go wrong with the stock midpipe, and it's free.

Granted, this is just a midpipe, but the fast/reliable/cheap theory can be related to almost anything.
