Check Engine Light!! Please Help!!
Lately my 05 TC has been throwing the CEL on occasion and it has been running alittle sluggish
so.....
I went to Autozone and got the codes for my CEL and 2 codes came up.
1. code: P0606
Definition: BBECM processor error
probable cause: Failed ECM
2. code: P0138
Definition: Heated Oxygen Sensor- bank 1 sensor 2 (HO2S12)
circuit high voltage
probable cause:
BB1- open or short circuit condition
BB2- Poor electrical connection
BB3- Engine mechanical fault
BB4- EFI relay fault
BB5- Faulty heated O2 sensor- bank 1 sensor 2
i priced the O2 sensor at autozone and it is $167 and they done even carry the ECM meaning i would have to get it from a dealer and i can only imagine what the price on that will be.
can anyone tell me if these are my problems or if something else could be causing these codes to show
the only afteermarket parts i have are
1. Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust System and cheaper headers that i got from Ebay. I do still have a Cat. but no longer have a resonator.
i have the anti fouls installed as spacers for the 2nd o2 sensor as well and everything is tight.
2. Fujita Cold Air Intake
that is all i have on my car if that helps at all.
can anyone tell me if buying these parts will fix my problem or if there is something else i can try first.

I doubt your aftermarket header has a pre-cat in it (our car uses two cats). That will throw a code since the secondary O2 (sensor 2) is used solely to monitor the operation of the pre-cat. However, you should be getting a code related to the failure of a catalytic converter rather than the one you listed. Since you have used antifoulers you may not ever see that code. Try resetting the code and starting the car up, if the sensor is bad I would expect that code to come back right away since it will probably fail its initial check. That may lead to a damaged sensor or bad connection to it. I would check the wiring and connections before you go straight to thinking it is a bad sensor.
Have you reset the ECU to see if the processor code goes away?
