Default Choosing an S-pipe... Megan or Invidia?

i'm planning on buying an s-pipe this week to finish up the exhaust portion of the car, i've decided to stay with stock headers because of several reasons. anyway, so far i have the megan racing oe-rs catback and love it.

i'd like to throw an s-pipe on there and be done with it and i've come down to two choices, the Invidia and the Megan Racing.

i've heard nothing but good things about Invidia, but i was leaning towards Megan since i have their catback i should have no fitment issues (as long as i don't get the retarded version 1.0). but then again i have not heard of any fitment issues with Invidia either.

megan racing: http://www.hopupracing.com/meraspisctc0.html $147 shipped

invidia: http://www.hopupracing.com/insctcdofcos.html $155 shipped

cost doesn't really matter to me...as long as i don't get angry whilst installing it =p

opinions? anyone have first hand experience with either?

Keep the manufactures matching. Both will free up the same amount of power.

^ I haven't had any problems with the Megan brand. And I have the complete setup, from the header all the way to the exhaust. Even the short shifter and c-pillar bar too. I like the company alot. Very good products I have bought.

look at it this way, you aren't gonna see any difference in power between the 2. the only thing you will notice is the noise. and of course the price tag.

Shoot me a pm and I'll get you pricing on these. We carry both items. Overall, both sell well. Invidia is .25" wider too..

Thanks

I have the drift spec by megan and the megan s pipe and they have been working great. Nice low rumble sound and no scraping or any problems at all.

both downpipes are 2.25" inner diameter so they match up with your Megan OE-RS pipe diameter.

i had the megan and now i have the invidia. i didn't know how low the megan was until i put the invidia on. (i'm on hotchys) anyway, the megan has that extra bend, pointing towards the ground, that i scraped a lot. the invidia, on the pipe you can see looking under the car, is straight across and does not hang down. looks better and no more worries about hitting that bend on the ground and cracking my header (why did dc sports not use factory mounts like the megan header )
