yesterday i installed my TRD cold-air intake. personally, im in love with this thing. but a thought occurs to me. it uses a washable and re-usable filter but the filter is down in the fender-well. does this mean im gonna need to remove my wheel and fender liner every time i need to clean my filter?

 

yes..do you take off your clothes every time you shower? Same concept

 

Personally I just remove the bumper when I need to clean my filter. Takes no time at all.

EDIT: also, a second thought. how often do you guys clean your filters?

 

Just the bumper. I don't bother removing the fender liner. It takes about 5 minutes to get the bumper off.

As for when... eh... I wish I could say I do it regularly, but I don't. I need to clean it soon but I rarely get the chance to do it when I need to.

 

how often do u guys clean those reusable filters?
K&N website said every 50,000 miles

 

lol. i hear that. alrite thanks, i shall remember that when i need to clean it. for now im enjoying the loud roar it makes at even a little bit of throttle.
