I have a 2006 Scion tC, and it looks like I need to have my clutch replaced at 99,700 miles. They told me this is pretty good.
What is a good price to have it replaced?

Local shop quoted me ~$500, said it was spec'd for 6hours!

 

500??!! everywhere round here was bout a grand! go there! they dont know the misery they are about to experience...

 

OK, dealership said 900, so that works.

dude don't pay that..... i charge my friends 350 to install a clutch and motor mount's!

 

So, how much do the parts cost?

 

buy a clutch get some tools and jack and follow the DIY on here

 

i would have gladly paid you 350 to do my clutch/flywheel/motormounts, too bad you are in the wrong state. i still need to align the bushings on the front and rear mounts to get the bolt it, then ill almost be done lol

 

Yea, see screw all that. It's my daily driver, and I can't afford to have it down too long. It's too cold outside, and I honestly just don't want to mess it up.

If people are saying it's going to run about a grand in some places, the dealership doing it for 900 ish, and giving me a free loaner until it's done works for me.

I definately appreciate the posts though, that helped a ton!
