Clutch slipping...please help!
I got a 07 tc and my clutch started slipping the other day (56k) is that a normal time for it to start that? I do not have any upgrades on the car and would like some recommendations on a new clutch... I might end up doing a cold air intake and a chip to increase hp but i do not plan on putting on a turbo or sc... I will be daily driving the car so i dont need a clutch that i have to use two legs to press in but i would like better performance/life out of the new one.. Do i need to change the fly wheel as well? Do the kits include the flywheel? Do i need anything else for the install? I was thinking about doing it myself with the help of a buddy... I have ripped my yamaha raptor 660 engine out and went from one side to the other several times do you think my mechanic knowledge is sufficient to do the clutch/flywheel? My wife just got laid off so cost is a concern thats why i am leaning to the install myself... I appreciate any help!

here is a greeat diy
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=138067
hope that help with install and if i where you i would just get a regular clutch nothing to crazy and resurface your stock flywheel.
Seen that diy....pretty sure im gonna attemt it myself...what exactly do you mean by nothing to fancy? any specific suggestion on what kind to get? like i said before maybe something with a little more life/performance to it...
i found this on ebay...is it worth spending the extra $125 and getting the exedy clutch kit with the f1 flywheel:

rather than getting this one and having to go get the flywheel resurfaced right in the middle of the install:

Thanks for all the help people!

there are many companies that sell a kit with the flywheel and with out it, just make sure if you dont get the fywheel with the kit, to resurface the oem one.
p.s
i would go with a.c.t or clutchmaster
