Default Clutch wont disengage

Ok, i have an act 6 puck clutch w/sprung hub. Almost brand new i put it in my car in may.

While on the way to watch my buddy's sti get dyno tuned. I started having issues getting my car into gear. I can get it into any gear when the car is turned off, ie ill put it into 1st when the car is turned off then turn it on with it in first, however after that i wont be able to get the car out of gear until i turn the car off again and have someone push the car while i take it out of gear.

I dont know whats wrong, im in the process of pulling my transmission out once again to see if my clutch is ok. If anyone has had the same issue before i would like to hear your take on this issue. Once again thank you scion life community.

Did you try adjusting your clutch pedal?

I noticed with my former clutch and current that it would get difficult to go into gear or hard to get out off, over time. Got it fixed with the pedal adjustment. Look up the how to area or scionlife.org for the tech data. It is very important that once u do the bottom adjustment, follow up with the top to keep the lip bit of play that the pedal needs on top. If u don't the clutch cylinder will be getting pressure all the time.

Ur also going to find how to properly adjust the clutch engagement. Most like theirs (including me) to engage low, but that's not good cuz u can get what ur getting now. I would set it a lol higher than middle, cuz it will drop a bit eventually (if clutch is recent)

Thanks for the advice my buddy whos a muscle car guy told me the same thing. I finaly got the tranny off and to my amazement one of my pressure plate bolts had sheared off they were grade 12. lol oh well its cheaper to buy a new set of bolts then replace a clutch or tranny. After i put it all together im going to adjust my clutch pedal.

cool beans, good thing you found that. It would have sucked to have them implode and have your legs chopped off by the flywheel lol. Ok, maybe not that, but it would of been expensive. Later
